Western Aviation is an international brokerage/consulting company based out of Houston, TX specializing in pre-owned turbine aviation sales and acquisitions, with primary emphasis on light-midsize jets: Citations, King Air, and all Helicopters. David Fisher, industry veteran with over thirty-five years of aviation experience founded Western Aviation in December of 1999. David is an ASA and NAAA Certified Appraiser and is USPAP endorsed.

David L. Fisher
President | ASA, Sr. Certified Appraiser
David Fisher has been in aviation for since 1981, starting out in the USAF as a crew chief, attending Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. David went on to get his A/P license and IA licenses and began working in Aviation. David worked for GE Capital Corporation and finally in Houston where he started Western Aviation, an aircraft brokerage firm based in Houston Texas in December 1999 with his brother. Mr. Fisher has consulted and appraised on aircraft for client including overseas, flight departments, lenders, attorneys, and corporations of all types.
David has now worked in Aircraft sales since 1999 and has served hundreds of customers, selling hundreds of aircraft from Cessna 421’s, Bell and Airbus Helicopters to Boeing Business Jets and everything in between. David has proven instrumental in building a strong team with diverse backgrounds. He has also built quite a large acquisition business eventually taking on exclusive listings of corporate aircraft and helicopters. David is USPAP endorsed and works aircraft charters for exclusive clientele.
Doug Hensley is Western Aviation’s Chief Pilot who manages the Contract Pilot Services program and is well versed staffing any size flight department whether it be one pilot, dozens of crews or more. He is also an Associate Broker specializing in helicopter transactions who works with helicopter owners and operators to help them build and manage their fleets to achieve success in their specific industry. Doug is an expert the value that helicopter can provide to all business operations regardless of industry and he also has a thorough understanding on the value of helicopters used for personal transportation.
Doug has worked in the helicopter industry in various capacities, such as a lead pilot, operations coordination & maintenance management, for more than 15 years across all aviation functions in the industry from; corporate transportation, to utility, to Helicopter Air Ambulance. He also holds an Airline Transport Pilot’s license for Helicopters including a type certification in Sikorsky S-92 helicopters, and is a member of Combat Helicopter Pilots Association and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation in Aeronautics from Liberty University.
